Our story

Dally and Doe was founded in 2023 by Jonathan and Abbey Ash, and named after the two imaginary friends their oldest daughter loved to tell them about when she was little. What started as a kitchen-table project — Abbey illustrating berry puns while Jonathan built prototypes on their 3D printer — grew into a family maker brand rooted in whimsy, curiosity, and making things by hand.

Today we design most of our products ourselves — children’s books and toys, handcrafted jewelry, fantasy-inspired home décor, and whatever else we dream up next. We also curate select designs from trusted creators, especially in our fidget and toy line, and print them in-house. Most items are printed, assembled, or crafted by hand in our home studio in Utah. Where a product needs expertise or capacity beyond our shop (book printing, certain jewelry finishing), we partner with trusted makers to bring our designs to life.

Our mission is simple — make things that brighten someone’s day.

The makers

Abbey Ash is an illustrator, author, and maker. She holds a BFA in Animation from Brigham Young University and has contributed artwork to published games and books. At Dally and Doe she illustrates the Very Very Berries series, and handles printing, label design, and label cutting — basically everything artistic and 2D.

Jonathan Ash is the manager, engineer and prototyper. He handles all 3D modeling, 3D printing, machining, and product engineering — from articulated fidget toys to hand drilling pendants, to custom stamps and fixtures. If it came off a 3D printer, out of a CAD file, or through a machine, Jonathan built it or managed it.

The next generation. Our eldest daughter hand-shapes every piece of polymer clay jewelry in the shop and also supports with artwork and design. Earrings, necklaces, and keychains, each one original. The rest of the kids pitch in as product testers and color consultants.
